Supplying drinking water to two million people in Mali

March 06 2017

Saint-Gobain PAM was chosen by SOMAPEP (Mali drinking water authority) to supply drinking water to 200,000 households in Bamako and its inner suburbs.

An order for 8,000 metric tons of pipes, fittings and valves (including 9 km of the DN 1600 solution) was placed for the first quarter of 2017. The pipes and fittings, manufactured in France, will travel more than 1,400 kilometers before reaching Mali.

This project once again reflects Saint-Gobain’s actions to ensure the future of communities and to improve comfort for all.
