An interactive, collaborative workshop, led by Saint-Gobain.
Saint-Gobain Africa invites participants in this 90-minute workshop to collaboratively explore greenwashing – what it is, its significant reputational consequences for companies, and how to avoid it.
Led by Saint-Gobain’s sustainability marketing manager Timo Márquez, this session at the 2024 Green Building Convention will encourage open dialogue, and the sharing of best practices and actionable insights into how organisations can communicate their sustainability goals with authenticity and transparency.
Key takeaways:
- Learn to recognise the various forms of misleading sustainability claims.
- Discover effective strategies for communicating sustainability while maintaining trust and transparency.
Receive practical recommendations on crafting clear, honest messages.
Understand how to protect your brand and avoid the legal issues tied to unclear or inaccurate claims.
The Green Building Council of South Africa’s annual Green Building Convention aims to improve Africa’s journey towards increasingly developing and implementing sustainable building practices across the continent.
The 2024 theme, Zero+: Net Zero Today, Climate Positive Tomorrow, reflects the council’s commitment to achieving net zero emissions by 2050. This ties in with Saint-Gobain’s similar commitment to reach carbon neutrality by 2050.
The conference is scheduled to take place from 5 to 7 November 2024.
