Saint-Gobain Africa is pleased to introduce Gamatex, a Gamazine decorative, textured, acrylic, bonded plaster by Weber Tylon, designed for both visual appeal and durability, and suitable for interior or exterior use.
Use Gamatex plaster to glam up your walls
Gamatex offers home and business owners a versatile plaster that can easily be applied to plastered or painted walls, providing a textured finish.
It comes in eight ultraviolet-resistant colours, meaning painting over the plaster is generally unnecessary. This can save time and labour costs, which is especially beneficial when it comes to large-scale projects where efficiency is crucial. (However, while painting over Gamatex is usually unnecessary, it can be done with proper preparation.)
The plaster can be spread in a vertical groove or swirling effect, offering flexibility in design choices. It contains selected graded aggregates that produce a grooved finish.
Gamatex is applied using a steel trowel and then floated with a plastic trowel to achieve the desired pattern. This straightforward application process is suitable for both professionals and DIY enthusiasts.
While the surface dries within two hours, Gamatex takes around 12 hours to dry completely, depending on weather conditions. It can be sealed after 12 hours, but full curing takes about seven days.
