SAINT-GOBAIN GYPROC SPONSORS SANPARKS HONORARY RANGERS

Gyproc South Africa is proud to support the SANParks Honorary Rangers and its rhino anti-poaching efforts in the country. Saint-Gobain has a history that spans over 350 years and a presence in 67 countries globally. We are committed to making a difference by contributing to a safer and more sustainable environment, which includes the safeguarding of the rhino population.
On the 14th of April 2021, members of the Honorary Rangers travelled to the Saint-Gobain SA head office in Midrand, Johannesburg, where Snowy Botha, Vice Chairperson Conservation Services of the SANParks Honorary Rangers, accepted a cheque for R150 000 from Gyproc SA, as a contribution from the company towards rhino conservation.
“On behalf of SANParks Honorary Rangers Conservation Services, we would like to express our thanks and gratitude to Saint-Gobain and Gyproc SA for your contribution. Your donation this year is going to be highly appreciated as we had to cancel two of our big events due to Covid-19, so this will come in handy”, said Snowy Botha.
The rhino is a symbol of strength for today but it may be gone forever tomorrow. That is why we want to make a difference and we hope that by supporting the SANParks Honorary Rangers and communicating the importance of its cause to our customers, we can add Saint-Gobain’s Voice to conversations about rhino conservation in South Africa.
The latest sponsorship from Saint-Gobain will go towards training and buying much needed equipment in the field for rangers, and for support of the Air Wing and Veterinary Wildlife Services of SANParks to combat the threat of rhino poaching.
